14 Carrot Cafe

My mom and I went to the 14 Carrot Cafe for lunch today and It gets 2 stars at best.

My mom had lentil soup which she said "tasted like dishwater and lentils with a hint of once-fresh tomatoes" It was one meal I did not want to try. The murky look of the soup was very gross. Total score 1 star.

I had eggs benedict (for people who do not know what that is then I suggest you look it up) and the hollandaise sauce was the color of French's Mustard and the same texture too. The eggs were o.k. and the hash browns were softer than they should be. Total score is 2 stars.

The bathrooms were nothing special. This place wasn't fancy and my mother and I will not be going there again.

Stumbling Goat

Hi, Maude here-

There is a restaurant in Greenwood called the Stumbling Goat. It was my favorite restaurant and we were good friends with the owners but then they sold it to their friends. It's the first restaurant to be reviewed by the taste buds.

The thing I loved to order is the roasted chicken. It came with gravy and really creamy but not heavy mashed potatoes. There was roasted garlic on the side and it was to die for! I also love the mini beef sliders. They are delish.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Taste Buds' Blog. We, The Taste Buds, like to eat at restaurants and review them. This blog will contain those reviews. My friend- who so cleverly came up with the name- is typing right now. She is very fast, it's kinda awesome. I'm laughing right now and she continues to write.

Hi. My name is ______. I'm 11 and I live in Seattle. I would like to play football but I can't because I'm a girl but I play soccer which is way awesomer. When I grow up I want to be a doctor, veterinarian or an astro physicist or a chemist. Not only do Maude and I like the same food but, we like the same books and music (except for a certain artist!!!!!).

Hi. My name is Maude and I came up with the name "The Taste Buds". I am 11 years old and _______ have been best friends since kindergarten. We are on the same soccer team and we used to go to the same school. I want to be an actress when I am older. We like to read. My partner in food ( who in the future will be called m.p.i.f.) said that we like the same things but that does not mean that we have the same opinions or ideas. In fact we fave very different ones.

My friend Zoe (the co-owner of this blog) said to me, after I gave her yet another thing I liked to eat "It's like we have the same taste buds." At the time I laughed hysterically but at dinner I suddenly said, " I have a good name for us: The Taste Buds." And this blog happened.

P.S. The person who made the picture for our header is someone named Anna the Red. She makes bento boxes for her boyfriend.
