14 Carrot Cafe

My mom and I went to the 14 Carrot Cafe for lunch today and It gets 2 stars at best.

My mom had lentil soup which she said "tasted like dishwater and lentils with a hint of once-fresh tomatoes" It was one meal I did not want to try. The murky look of the soup was very gross. Total score 1 star.

I had eggs benedict (for people who do not know what that is then I suggest you look it up) and the hollandaise sauce was the color of French's Mustard and the same texture too. The eggs were o.k. and the hash browns were softer than they should be. Total score is 2 stars.

The bathrooms were nothing special. This place wasn't fancy and my mother and I will not be going there again.

  1. There was an Island on poptropica named that and I bet you think that it was a reader but sadly it's just Zoe

  2. Dear Miss Maude,
The concept and execution of your blog is great. I love your writing style, and this review is pithy for sure (I had to look up this word). Let's skip this place next time I'm in town.

  3. If I'm not mistaken, Miss Maudie, some family members went to this restaurant the weekend your mom and dad got married. Now, how long ago was that??? We thought it was pretty cool at the time, and we may even have pictures of the "event". I'll check the phot drawers!

  4. Here are my answers to everyone's questions.

clogsonian111: it is 14 but I thought it was 24. I'll change it right away. (I probably got confused because of the poptropica island. Hee hee)

Kitty: You are correct. It IS where some family members went 12 years. Just so you know my mom wasn't insulted by the post. She was the one wo made the "dishsoap and lentils" comment.
